THE "Pebble Beach OF THE ALPS"
This 18-hole course proudly displays the "Leading Golf Courses
Austria" certificate of quality. Unique for a golf course in the Alps: the Florida flair, the many water hazards and the long season, extending from the first days of springtime until late autumn. In 2004, Golf & Countryclub Dachstein-Tauern came a close second in the selection of that year's top golf course.
Holes 1 - 4 are relatively easy, promising a rewarding experience for all handicaps at the start of the round. On the fifth hole, you begin to encounter the water hazards and long fairways that challenge every player. Highlights include the 17th hole, a Par 3 with a pond (the "Duck Hole") and the 18th, a Par 5 demanding total concentration.
Driving Range: Right next to the 1st tee, you have the opportunity to finetune your swing. Certified golfing professional Paul Hechl is also available to share some helpful tips of his own.
