Mountain biking in the Schladming-Dachstein sports region

For everyone who loves challenging terrain, brutal climbs and dripping with sweat, this region offers roughly 300 km of mountain bike trails.

The most famous of these tours is the so-called "Viehbergalm-Runde", 40 km long, leading across the ridges close to Gröbming and through the infamously famous canyon known as the "Öfen-Schlucht".

An array of idyllic routes with gentle climbs also treat you to landscapes of extraordinary beauty.

A classic amongst the long-distance cycling routes is the "Ennsradweg" (the "R7"), running from Flachau in Salzburgerland all the way to Enns in Upper Austria (a total distance of 250 km).
