Our special hiking offer "Klafferkessel - the king's stage" is very demanding and especially for experienced, absolutely sure-footed and persevering hikers.
The Program
- Day of arrival: Arriving, tour presentation (21 km length, total walking time approx. 11 hours) and briefing on the situation.
- Day 1: Departure for the Klafferkessel Tour at approx. 13.00 hrs.
Starting at Gasthaus Riesachfall in Untertal, we hike through Steinriesental to Gollinghütte (walking time approx. 2 hours), where we spend the night and have a convivial hut evening.
(Variant: if you are interested we climb the highest mountain of the Schladminger Tauern, the Hochgolling.)
- Day 2: Early in the morning we climb, in many hairpin bends and steps, to the Greifbergsattel. A small lake with the Hochgolling in the background is the first impressive sight. The further ascent over a scree slope leads to the small and larger lake eyes, some of which are still covered with ice in summer. From the summit (2,618 m), the trail first descends in steep hairpin bends to the basin. Steep descent to the Lämmerkare to the Preintalerhütte (1,657m). The descent to the Kotalm is a little steeper at first, then mostly level to the Riesachsee and the Gfölleralm. Then return home via the forest road to the Riesachsee car park.
In the evening: cosy get-together and tour analysis including photo exchange.

All bookings may be canceled or rebooked up to 30 days prior to scheduled arrival.
No reason is required.
Within 30 days, the following cancelation rules will apply:
- 29 to 14 days prior to arrival we charge 40% of the total price
- between 13 and 7 days prior to arrival, we charge 70% of the total price
- 6 days or less prior to arrival, or in the event of no-show, we charge 90% of the total price
